Topic: Blank thumbs and fanart after scraping?

Hey!
First of all, thanks for making this great addon - I love it!
I have a problem though. Whenever I try to get a thumb or a fanart for a game using the scraper (currently gamefaqs), it doesn't seem to download the image I select. Instead I get a blank thumb and/or a black fanart.
I can add images manually but it's too tedious. What can I do to fix it?

Please, post here, using pastebin service, the content of your launchers.xml file. To help you. I need first to be sure that your launchers, thumbs and fanarts paths are well configured. Thank you. wink

While I'm at it, I have another question - How can I add extra fanarts to my games? I tried adding images in the extra fanart folder, but I don't know what to name them.

According to your launchers.xml file, for example for the blur game, thumbs and fanart images are located into those paths :

<thumb>C:\XBMC Games\Thumbs\Blur.jpg</thumb>
<fanart>C:\XBMC Games\Fanart\Blur.exe_fanart.jpg</fanart>

Those 2 images appear as blank into XBMC? When you go into your C:\XBMC Games\Thumbs\ of C:\XBMC Games\Fanart\ directory are you able to see those pictures or they are blank?

Extra fanarts displays are managed by the skin, not by Advanced Launcher. Advanced launcher only allows to indicate where will be stored the extra fanarts for each launcher or items. For the extra fanarts I think you have to name them like this. Also, not all skins are supporting extra fanarts display for programs addons. I think only Cirrus Extended and Night Purity MOD support it actually.

The code you see here is AFTER I've manually added the images. Before, it was just Blur.exe_fanart.jpg and Blur.exe_thumb.jpg (No "c:\..." behind it), and they weren't saved in the default thumbs/fanart folders.

EDIT: I've made a folder inside my "fanart" folder called "blur", and put images there (named "fanart1.jpg", "fanart2.jpg", "fanart3.jpg"). I've directed the launcher to get the extra fanart from that folder, but it doesn't seem to work.
I've enabled extra fanart for TV and movies, and I'm using Cirrus Extended.

Ok, I have found the error.  It was a small bug into the thumbs and fanart images path attribution for launchers. It will be fixed on the next version... that will be released in few minutes. Thank you very much for your feedback.

I think it you will have to ask Cirrus Extended skin developers how they display program addon extra fanarts in their skins. Advanced 'Launcher is just indicating the folder path, but does not manage how images have to be named.
